Activities in the region

You can also taste regional culinary specialties at the various markets. We advise you to go to the market in Vaison-la-Romaine, Bédouin, Nyons, Malaucène and Buis-les-Baronnies.

Provence and Drôme Provençale are two regions punctuated by votive festivals, concerts and festivals. Don't miss the must-sees like the Avignon Festival, Vaison Danses and Les Chorégies d'Orange.

Vaison-la-Romaine

Vaison-la-Romaine is ideally located between the Rhône Valley, Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. Vaison-la-Romaine is an open-air museum. Travel through more than 2,000 years of history and follow in the footsteps of the Romans as you stroll through the streets of the city center. During your walk, we advise you to discover: the archaeological sites of Puymin and La Villasse, the Archaeological Museum of Théo Desplans, the Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Medieval City and the Roman Bridge.

Mont-Ventoux

The man nicknamed the "Giant of Provence" is a paradise for lovers of cycle tourism, seasoned athletes and lovers of wide open spaces. By car, motorbike, bicycle or on foot, reach the summit at more than 1,900 meters above sea level. You will get a superb panorama over all of Provence, the Rhône Valley, the Vaucluse plateau and the Baronnies provençales.

Nyons

Discover one of the most beautiful detours in France, Nyons. Discover this charming town, nicknamed Little Nice, because of its micro climate, in the heart of Drôme Provençale.

It is famous for its olives and its PDO olive oil.

Walk around the Thursday market to appreciate all the flavors of Provence and in the center to visit the must-sees: the Pont Roman, the Tour Randonne and the Place des Arcades.

The Baronies of Provence

This regional natural park is full of exceptional panoramas, nature walks and characterful villages. During your walk in the heart of the Baronnies Provençales, we advise you to go through Buis-les-Baronnies, Eygaliers, Faucon, La Penne-sur-l'Ouvèze, Lachau, Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, Montbrun-les-Bains, Rioms and Sederon.

The Laces of Montmirail

The Dentelles de Montmirail is a mountain range known for its villages, its wine routes and its exceptional natural spaces. Set off to discover this delightful region, visiting: Gigondas, Beaumes-de-Venise, Vacqueyras, Lafare and Suzette. Let yourself be tempted by visits to the great outdoors!

Orange

Orange is a town where life is good. You will enjoy strolling through the streets of the city center to discover certain vestiges such as the old Château des Princes, the Arc de Triomphe and the famous Théâtre Antique. Don't miss the Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth Cathedral, the Museum of Art and History and the Saint-Eutrope hill, a little corner of greenery in the heart of the city.
